Sunday Afternoon

"Sunday Afternoon" was written for the "Ronneburg Ferienfreizeit Jugendorchester". The piece is based on three themes: the first two are played in a rock style – the second theme is mainly scored in the lower register. The third piece is quieter and is first introduced as a flugel horn or trumpet solo and then followed by the entire band. The title of the piece refers to the moment that the junior band played the closing concert after a week’s hard work: Sunday afternoon.
