By Appointment to the Court of the Netherlands

On January 24, 2025, Tierolff had the honor of receiving the title: "By Appointment to the Court of the Netherlands". This prestigious distinction was awarded in celebration of our 125th anniversary and presented by Mayor Mark Buijs on behalf of the King. It is a remarkable recognition of our history and craftsmanship, a true crowning achievement.

Since 1899, Tierolff has been a leading name in the world of sheet music. What began as a modest music store and publishing house in Roosendaal has grown into an internationally operating company specializing in music for wind and brass orchestras. Our connection to the royal family makes this award even more special: the official version of our national anthem, the Wilhelmus, arranged by C.L. Walther Boer, was published by Tierolff and remains an important part of our heritage.

For me, as the fourth generation in this family business, this is an incredibly proud milestone. My father, Toon Vergouwen, led the company for many years and is still actively involved in Tierolff. His knowledge and experience remain invaluable, and it is truly special to receive this recognition together with him. In addition we were also honored with the "Roosenspeld" and named Honorary Citizens of Roosendaal on this festive day, an honor for which we are deeply grateful.

I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this success: our employees, customers, and all the musicians who have been working with our music for 125 years. We look forward to the future with great enthusiasm and will continue doing what we love most: publishing beautiful music for concert band and sharing it across the world.

Koen Vergouwen
