For drummers and drum corps. Volume III from the series "Marching Album For Drumband" volumes A to F and volume I "The Drumband". This album consists of a very distinct collection of compositions for snare drum, composed by well-known composers and prominent drum experts especially for this purpose. They are: Jos Hoslet, Jean Gieres, J. Burns Moore, Henry Zagwijn, Robert Tourte, Hans Schütze, Frans v.d. Kraan, Max Abrams, Dan Hopkins, Jimmy Catherwood, W. Crawford, Dr. F.R. Berger, Martin Schneider.

The value of this collection lies in the wide variety of strokes, from the simplest to those required to promote technique and teaching therein.

All advanced students, as well as those who are in the process of becoming so, will find great ease in playing modern figures, when they have made a specious study of the preceding fundamentals.

Solos are preceded by some 18 exercises to study the fundamentals of drum technique.

The solos are particularly suitable for tattoo and hall performances and can be performed, standing still only, by 1 to 24 drummers respectively. They are not arranged according to difficulty.

With special thanks to the aforementioned contributors, whose enthusiasm has helped make this booklet an interesting read, I wish the practitioners of the art of drumming the best of luck!
