Within 1 business dayDer Bettelstudent ("The Beggar Student") is no doubt the best-known operetta by the Austrian composer Carl Millöcker. The charming waltz "Ach ich hab sie ja nur auf die Schulter geküsst" ("I only kissed her shoulder") appears in the middle of the production. The original version of the operetta does not include an overture. However, Fritz Neuböck, in the timehonored Austrian tradition, has created one by combining several themes into a new work.
