Pascual Marquina Narro (1873 - 1948) was a Spanish composer and conductor. He is the oldest of the musical brothers. Ernesto Marquina Narro was a composer, conductor and horn player, and Rafael Marquina Narro, was a trumpet player in the Banda Municipal de Madrid. Pascual played in a concert band at a very young age (9), and conducted his first concert band at the age of 17, when he was already busy composing. He wrote this pasodoble, Ecos Españoles (“Spanish Echoes”) in 1925. This pasodoble is at its best when performed at a tempo between 110 and 118 bpm.
