I didn't have to think twice when my publisher Koen Vergouwen asked me to write a fanfare for the 125th anniversary of Tierolff Publishing. It was an honor for me, as a member of the "Tierolff family", to be entrusted with this task. The piece begins and ends with a festive fanfare theme, which acts as a bracket for the heart of the work. In the quiet middle section, I have used a theme from the Mazurk Noble by our publisher's founder Antoon Tierolff, not in its original dance form, but as a calm counterpoint in between the two fanfares. It fills me with pride to be able to contribute this work to the 125th anniversary.
