What could be a better present for a composer to give on the occasion of a child’s birth than a composition? Fanfare for Life is a powerful and festive opening fanfare, composed on the occasion of the birth of Noor Hannah Stolk, daughter of Evelijn and Henkjan Stolk. Both parents play in the wind band of Barendrecht in the Netherlands, conducted by the composer. Evelijn plays the clarinet, and Henkjan, alumnus of Ivo, plays the euphonium.
