Pavane & Galop

Solo for flute, clarinet or alto saxophone with concert band or Soprano saxophone with fanfare band. These two solo pieces were originally written for the book "Ten Pieces for Flute and Piano". This publication is very succesful these days, so the composer decided to arrange two themes for solo instrument with band accompaniment. Pavane: this sensitive melody perfectly suits the flute. The continuous flowing melody and range enable the natural beauty and transparent timbre of the flute to excel. Galop: as title already suggests this is a fast and light piece. Some rhythmic contrasts interupt the flow of the cheerful melody line.
