When I was arranging "American Folk Song Fantasy I," there were more pieces I wished to use. From those I chose six songs this time and made another medley.

First, two standards, "Little Brown Jug" and "When the Saints Go Marching In" continue in a swing style. ("Little Brown Jug" is not actually a folk song. It was released by Joseph Winner in 1869)
There are instructions in Part 4 at [D] and "any solo instrument" at [E], so it may be interesting to let an instrument you normally do not feature have a chance to play solo.
Be careful of the balance with other parts so that the solo stands out.

Did you know that "The Other Day I Met a Bear" was an American folk song? Here, the lower instrument of Part 5 becomes the leading role.

The ballad "Oh, My Darling Clementine" from the western pioneer period is where the swing resolves and the song is sung leisurely. After that, a patriotic "Yankee Doodle" of the Revolutionary War era is heard along with a marching drum. That melody develops into a fugue, concluding in combination with the hymn "Amazing Grace".

The entire band is divided into 6 parts including percussion, and each part can freely select the specified instruments and play in various combinations.
It's not always necessary to perform with all instruments, and it's also interesting to change the sound by varying population and instrument types, or creating a solo features.
As a new concept, I changed the difficulty of each part a little. Parts 1 and 4 are grade 3 and parts 2 and 3 are a little easier grade 2, so please consider the experience and individuality of each performer when assigning parts.
