Angel, In The Dark

Commissioned by Jyoto Junior High School (Akita, Japan) in 2017. The theme, from darkness to light, seems to have been used by many composers in the past. As I considered the same theme I found value in two contrasting key words, "Angel and Dark". When they blended on the same axis, the image and music of this work was born. Light is beautiful because it is born out of darkness and disappears. Music and life as well is just a momentary light floating in the dark. That's why its glow is remarkable, leaving a beautiful trajectory in people's memory.
