Sous 1 jour ouvrableThis is one of three pieces commissioned as a 55th anniversary commemorative work by the Ishikawa Prefectural Band Association.
1. March
2. Elegy
3. Pops
The three styles were requested by the commission, as well as having a flexible instrumentation to allow a small number of members to play in various combinations.
This kind of work, "Elegy" is rare for windband, so I would like you to work on it so that you can experience the music more broadly, deeply, and expand the range of expression.
Aim for delicate expressiveness. You don't have to be reserved.
I think it's good to create continuous phrases so that the flow does not stop, and to pronounce each note firmly so that the transition of the resonance is well defined. By carefully identifying where the music is advancing and when it stops flowing, and being aware of the consonant/dissonant combination of melody and harmony, you will offer a more profound performance.
