Commissioned by conductor Shintaro Fukumoto and the Ensemble Liberte Wind Orchestra and premiered at the 23rd National Culture Festival, Ibaraki in November 2008. The focus of the piece, as the title suggests, is more on the two Verona households than on Romeo and Juliet themselves.

Due to time constraints, I resorted to the quickest compositional method I know: the technique of film music. Since there was neither time nor budget to create a film, I constructed a mental movie of just under two hours' length and assigned rehearsal numbers to it from which I extracted material for a symphonic suite. As a result, the content is straightforward to understand.
