Kimbe

Kimbe in Sardinian means five, precisely like the movements of this suite, which are unique miniatures that differ sharply in musical language as well as in orchestration. The composition opens with celebratory and resolute tones, transitioning through an elegant waltz that then gives way to a playful movement in which the rhythm is treated with variety. A gentle and delicate interpolation anticipates the pressing and brilliant ending, which makes explicit reference to the typical Sardinian dance culture. The composition, although short, is particularly suitable to be performed in competitions, specifically because of the variety of technical and musical elements that it contains.
