Sous 1 jour ouvrableSince last year's commissioned work, "Nami no Ho", was inspired by the impression of the winter sea, this year's "Soten no Shizuku" was composed with spring as the theme. I hoped to create a piece that not only embodies cheerful optimism but also offers spiritual encouragement.
Following a vigorous introduction reminiscent of the harsh remnants of winter, a soaring melody characteristic of spring is sung. The image is one of the earth being nourished by blessings from the heavens. The piece progresses with this main theme and another contrasting theme, which might evoke a moment of restless contemplation, as spring is also a season full of deep emotions. Ultimately, the piece culminates in a triumphant hymn to spring.
