The three movements are in different tempos. "How are you doing now that we are so far away and can no longer see each other?"
The first movement begins with this question, expressing the protagonist's remorse for his/her loved one. The second movement, in slower tempo, fondly recalls peaceful days and memories spent together, while the third movement, in a brisk tempo, expresses the determination to walk strongly on one's own with the words of the loved one in mind.
