Commissioned by Tokai University Takanawadai High School in 2015 and subsequently revised for Sakuragaoka Junior High School, this score is the revised version.

This piece is based on a tale called "Nanbuzaka Yuki No Wakare," often used in traditional Japanese storytelling. I was particularly captivated by the sound of "Sakayuki," and thus, I crafted it as a musical narrative.

Given ample references to the program, I will refrain from explaining them, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could study these references to expand the work's range of expression.

The work is a brass ensemble with percussion, and its essence is found in the intriguing variations for the roles of percussion, serving both as a leading and supporting element. While incorporating Italian rhythms from Presto, it is equally crucial to relish the thrilling dynamism that underlies the core, carried by percussion, reminiscent of Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 "Italian," fourth movement.
